Swimming Lessons

Look at how many kids are in their class -- 19! And 5 teachers.

Will is so excited to do his own swimming after lessons.

Not sure if Will is liking it in this picture.

Swimming lessons

Will -- not liking it.

Last week we started swimming lessons. I thought Mae and Will would just jump in and love it however, it took them a couple of days to get used to it.

On the first day Will just cried and cried (mostly fake). Mae sat down by the other kids, Will sat down next to her and put his head on her shoulder and she gave him a hug and told him he'd be okay! It was so sweet. I wish I would have had my camera.

The next day, Will only cried once but it was for about 10 minutes. He finally stopped when one of his teachers told him to calm down and stop crying... so he did! They haven't made a fuss since! And they've both loved that we can stay afterwards and swim for a while after lessons.
We recently watched The Sandlot with the kids for the first time and now when Mae jumps in the pool she says "CANONBALL!!!"
