Friends... then and now.

During my junior year of high school we had an exchange student, Rafaella...

 or Raffy as we soon called her.

She is the type of person you instantly become friends with.  She was always up for fun and always smiling.

Our friendship blossomed that year as it did with many, many people in Grantsville.

She is just that type of person, that everyone loves.

That year went by very fast and we missed her so much when it was over.

But life goes on and hers was back to normal once she was home.  Luckily email saved the day and we've been in contact, somewhat.

Last week she was in town and I got to visit with Raffy for the first time in 11 years!  

It was great to see her again.  She has hardly changed at all - except for the fact that she is an ob/gyn and is working at Yale in Connecticut right now.

She taught Mae how to say  Ciao 

and we had a nice, long talk to catch up.

Hopefully its not another 11 years before our next chat.

Anyone up for a trip to Brazil??
