Cask Family Christmas Party

Our party was held at the Mecham's house this year on the 27th of December.  We met up first to go sledding at a nearby school.  It was a beautiful day and the school overlooks the entire Salt Lake Valley.  We had so much fun and were sledding until the kids were crying!

Me cute nieces- Rachel, Sam and Emily -- Mae refused to be in the picture.  She will LOVE this picture one day!

it was Jonah's first time sledding and he was rippin' it up!

My neices tried to have 3 of them on one sled... nice try!  They rolled down the hill after crashing

After sledding for a couple of hours we were all hurt, freezing and starving!

We went to the Mechams where Nanette made delish cafe rio.  We all ate and then did our gift exchanges.
The younger grandkids... poor Mae is the only girl.
But they are so cute and fun!

My mom goes out of her way every year and makes all of the grand-kids pajamas.
Ready to hand them out... the youngest goes first.

this is a picture my sister took, which is kind of funny because I took the exact same one but from a different angle.

Oh, here are some more sledding pictures...

After the pajamas, the kids did their gift exchange where we had drawn names previously and they got to pick something out ahead of time for each other.  Then, the adults did the Favorite Things exchange.  We each brought 5 favorite things and put them all in a pile.  Everyone drew out 5 names and those 5 people got the 5 five things!  I ended up with some GREAT stuff this year -- Sugar scrub, a notepad, fibreeze spray, candles, hand soap and chocolate covered pretzels.  Matt walked away with a hole bunch of candy, a few key chains and some other stuff.  My favorite thing was a water bottle full of crystal light packets.  Matt was chocolate covered pomegranates.  It was so much fun  and I think everyone got cool stuff.

After that we watched our favorite YouTube Videos and called it a night.  It was a great party with my favorite people.
