4th of July!

 Its no big surprise that we were in Gville for the 4th this year.  We love being in our little small town even though we don't live there.

We went to the parade, had a BBQ at the homestead, chit-chatted throughout the day and watched the fireworks.  I truly love the 4th of July -- the best holiday of the year.

That week we went to Del Taco and Mae took some pictures that just made me laugh...

We went to Seven Peaks with Kathleen, Jonah, Stephanie, Landon & Jackson.  The kids had a ball!  (The parents are pretty grossed out with the current state of Seven Peaks )

Our friends had a litter of golden retriever pups and we fell in love with this little girl.  Mae has always been afraid of dogs... wow.

A couple days after the 4th we had a block party.  It was really fun to meet everyone on our street and get to know them better.  We rented a bouncey slide.  It was a great day!

Matt went down and Mae got smashed and had to cry for a little while.

 Our neighbors smoked hot dogs and pork tenderloin and everyone brought sides.  It was delish!

Then, the firetruck showed up for the kiddos.

Matt and Beau (Kathleen's boyfriend) did their own pics at the back of the truck (away from the children, thankfully).

 It was a fun night with our neighbors.  We will definitely do it again next year.

 The day after the 4th (since we do what I want to do on the 4th), Matt chose to go swimming and see a movie.  We saw Despicable Me 2.

 After swimming for a bit, Matt and the kids jumped in the lake and then came back.
