Last week we had a few walk-throughs for our house. Each time we went there was a list of stuff that still had to be done. Not huge things, just minor stuff. But we were so surprised when we went to our final walk-through, that everything was done! Just then the mortgage people called and gave us the go-ahead, so the construction manager gave us the keys.
What? We're done??
It was just thinking about how non-stressful this whole process was. Everything went so smooth. For me that is just evidence of us making a right choice.
A few months ago Matt's parents had planned to come here for a visit. They just happened to come the day that we went to sign all the papers. They were so nice and took Mae and Will with them to Megan's house in Logan. They didn't end up bringing the kids back until 3 days later! It just worked out so perfectly. We were able to do all the moving and the kids were on vacation with Nonny & Poppy. They had so much fun and we were able to get so much done!

We got the biggest truck and still had to go back for all the stuff that didn't fit in the first load. WOW-- we have so much STUFF!
All of Matt's good friends saved the day and helped us out SO MUCH! We are so thankful for each of them!
The 2nd load.
Our first sunset in our house... I sure love this view!
Meanwhile, this is what Mae and Will were up to:
New sunglasses. Nonny and Poppy had a "yes" day with the kids... whatever they asked for the answer was YES. What lucky kids!!
Being silly
Straightened hair
Everyone went to get pedicures and manicures -- Mae's first! She was a bit nervous so she sat on Nonny's lap at first. I love this picture.
Will was not impressed by the smell... hahaha
So happy!
Now, onto the pedicure. Comfy chair... check. Trashy magazine... check!
Mae and Savannah have so much fun together.
Will found his biggest fan -- baby Robby. He just didn't want to leave Will alone. He is such a cute boy!!
Will, Savannah and Mae with their new sunglasses.
After a day of shopping and doing nails, it was time to swim and go to the park. The kids have a blast with Nonny & Poppy & Savannah. We're so lucky to have them come and visit!!

The kids have been bouncing off the walls since we got here, but we are slowly getting things organized and adjusted to our new place.

And the most fun thing about our new house is STAIRS!
I got a new vacuum and it came in some huge bags. They put the bags on and slid down, laughing hysterically. Why have toys when you can have a bag and stairs??
Another beautiful sunset!
A few days ago we were sitting on the porch watching the kids ride their bikes. We both just felt so much peace. Its a great feeling to be where you're supposed to be and to feel settled a bit. The kids can ride their bikes in the road (they think this is the best thing EVER) and they have several kids their age in the neighborhood. We are so happy to be here.

This is so exciting for you. Congrats! I laughed seeing the kids going down the stairs in that plastic...I have many memories of going down the long stairs in a sleeping bag at the Cask home. :)
I am so happy for you guys! But seriously, you could have moved to the house on our corner.
